Liberty/EMI are very pleased to announce the release on 27 February, of the brand new studio album ‘Back To The Drive’ from legendary rock goddess Suzi Quatro.
‘Back to the Drive’ is a deep personal glimpse into Suzi’s private world with each track representing a significant chapter of her life. As she explains: “I give you my Rock and Roll….I give you my heart and soul….for the two can not be separated”
Teaming up with Steve Grant and Andy Scott (The Sweet), and long time co-writer Mike Chapman who wrote the title track, this album is an emotional tour de force which truly rocks.
‘Back to the Drive’, ‘Wasted Moments’, ‘Born making Noise’, and a excellent cover of Neil Young’s ‘Rockin In The Free World’ all showcase Suzi at her gutsy best, whilst a softer side is revealed through ballads such as ‘Sometimes Love Is Letting Go’ and ‘Free the Butterfly’.
|
Not only in production has ‘Back To The Drive’ been a highly successful collaborative experience; Paul Jones joined on harmonica, original band member Len Tuckey added guitar and daughter Laura Tuckey sung the duet ‘I’ll walk through the fire with you’.
This is definitely one of Suzi’s finest recordings to date and reflects the classic Gemini within - a captivating fusion of opposites: Masculine/Feminine…..Hard/Soft…..Covered/Uncovered……Leather/Denim….. Timeless and evolving……
Suzi will be announcing UK tour dates soon.
The single ‘Back To The Drive’ is out on 20 Feb.
