The Shakers - Press release The Shakers : Maximum Merseybeat Think of Merseybeat and you’ll think of The Beatles. Think again and you’ll come up with some other guys: Gerry & The Pacemakers, The Searchers, Billy J Kramer & The Dakotas, The Swinging Blue Jeans, The Merseybeats, The Fourmost, The Big Three, Rory Storm & The Hurricanes, Kingsize Taylor & The Dominoes and many more.
The Shakers are another four lads from Liverpool who authentically recreate the look and the sound of those Liverpool days and Hamburg nights, from the Cavern to the Star-Club. Black leather rock‘n’roll and tough rhythm & blues with a topping of bubblegum beat group pop! Covering the period 1960 -’64, this fab beat combo perform the hits, misses, B-sides and lost classics from that golden age of Merseybeat.
